Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Remote Solar Energy Project Manager to oversee the planning, development, and execution of solar energy projects across the Western United States. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale solar installations from concept through commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including engineers, contractors, utilities, and regulatory bodies. This is a fully remote position that requires strong leadership, organizational expertise, and a passion for advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects across multiple locations in the Western US.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, permitting authorities, and utility companies.

  • Oversee site assessments, design reviews, procurement, and construction phases.

  • Ensure projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with finance teams to manage project budgets and cost forecasting.

  • Support contract negotiations and vendor selection processes.

  • Maintain high standards of quality control and safety across all project activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience managing solar energy or renewable energy projects.

  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, project lifecycles, and installation processes.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and permitting requirements for renewable energy projects.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in renewable energy or solar project management.

  • Experience managing utility-scale or commercial solar installations preferred.

  • Demonstrated success delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, and regulatory partners.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote position.

  • Standard business hours aligned with Western US time zones.

  • Occasional flexibility required for meetings with project stakeholders and site teams.

  • Limited travel may be required for project site visits or stakeholder meetings.
