Job Summary

DataEase Virtual is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writer to create high-quality, developer-focused API documentation. The ideal candidate will translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible content that empowers developers to integrate and utilize our APIs effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of software development, API structures, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to produce accurate and user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update API documentation, including guides, tutorials, reference materials, and code examples for internal and external developers.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams to gather technical information and translate it into clear, structured documentation.
• Review technical specifications and ensure documentation aligns with product functionality and development standards.
• Optimize documentation for usability, readability, and accessibility across multiple platforms.
• Create diagrams, workflows, and other visual aids to enhance technical explanations.
• Manage version control and maintain a documentation style guide to ensure consistency across all materials.
• Gather feedback from developers and stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience writing technical documentation for APIs, SDKs, or software products.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and web technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a developer audience.
• Experience with documentation tools such as Markdown, Confluence, Git, Swagger, Postman, or similar.
• Ability to learn and quickly understand new software products and technologies.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional technical writing experience in software development, with a focus on APIs or developer tools.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in remote or distributed environments.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position with flexible hours.
• Must be able to coordinate with teams across different time zones as required.
