Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Renewable Energy Data Analyst to join our growing clean energy analytics team. This remote role focuses on analyzing data related to offshore renewable energy projects, including offshore wind, tidal, and other marine-based energy systems.

The successful candidate will support project teams, engineers, and sustainability strategists by transforming complex energy datasets into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, performance optimization, and long-term planning. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about renewable energy, environmental impact, and data-driven decision-making in the offshore energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to offshore renewable energy production, weather conditions, turbine performance, and grid integration.

  • Develop dashboards and visual reports that provide insights into operational performance and energy generation trends.

  • Monitor real-time and historical performance metrics of offshore renewable assets.

  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to identify performance improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Perform predictive analytics and forecasting models for energy production and maintenance scheduling.

  • Analyze environmental and meteorological data impacting offshore renewable energy generation.

  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Support data governance and ensure accuracy, reliability, and security of energy data systems.

  • Contribute to research initiatives aimed at improving renewable energy forecasting models.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Renewable Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex datasets.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or MATLAB.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of renewable energy systems, particularly offshore wind or marine energy technologies.

  • Ability to translate technical data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, energy analytics, or environmental data analysis.

  • Experience working with renewable energy datasets or offshore energy projects is highly desirable.

  • Prior exposure to predictive modeling, machine learning, or energy forecasting tools is an advantage.

  • Experience working in remote or distributed teams is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote position.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

  • Knowledge of renewable energy markets and offshore energy infrastructure.

  • Ability to interpret meteorological and oceanographic datasets.
