Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Restaurant Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team in Singapore. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present authentic Indian dishes with consistency and excellence.

  • Develop and innovate new recipes, seasonal menus, and signature dishes.

  • Ensure all food is prepared according to hygiene, safety, and quality standards.

  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.

  • Collaborate with management to plan menu offerings, special events, and promotions.

  • Monitor portion control, waste management, and cost efficiency.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Indian cuisine, including North Indian, South Indian, or regional specialties.

  • Strong knowledge of spices, ingredients, and authentic cooking methods.

  • Ability to manage a busy kitchen and coordinate multiple dishes simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with kitchen safety, sanitation, and food hygiene standards.

  • Culinary diploma or professional certification is preferred but not mandatory for experienced chefs.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in Indian cuisine.

  • Prior experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering services in a multicultural environment is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.

  • Typical working hours: 8–10 hours per day, depending on restaurant operations.
