Job Summary

Devstationery.com, a leading online and offline stationery retailer, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Retail Stationery Assistant & Visual Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing retail operations, and ensuring that our product displays are visually appealing and strategically organized to drive sales. This role blends hands-on retail assistance with creative visual merchandising, making it perfect for individuals passionate about stationery, organization, and retail aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting stationery products, providing expert advice, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

• Implement and maintain attractive visual merchandising displays both in-store and online imagery.

• Monitor inventory levels, perform stock checks, and assist in restocking shelves efficiently.

• Collaborate with the marketing and purchasing teams to plan seasonal displays and promotions.

• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.

• Record customer feedback and insights to improve merchandising strategies and product offerings.

• Support sales reporting and assist in daily retail operations, including cash handling and POS management.

• Stay updated with stationery trends and competitor strategies to enhance the customer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in retail management, visual merchandising, or design is a plus.

• Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail display techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.

• Basic knowledge of inventory management and retail software systems.

• Creativity and an eye for detail to design visually appealing product displays.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in retail sales, visual merchandising, or a related role.

• Experience in stationery or lifestyle retail is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, 40–45 hours per week.

• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as per business requirements.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Ability to analyze sales data and customer behavior to improve merchandising decisions.

• Proficiency in MS Office or retail management software is an advantage.
