Job Summary
RuralRelief NGO is seeking a dedicated and proactive Rural Development Program Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of rural development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for underserved communities. This role requires a combination of administrative support, community engagement, and program coordination, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of rural development programs and projects.
- Support field teams in data collection, documentation, and reporting on project progress.
- Coordinate with local community leaders, volunteers, and stakeholders to facilitate program activities.
- Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, project resources, and program outcomes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor program activities to ensure compliance with organizational standards and donor requirements.
- Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and community outreach programs.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, communication, and logistical arrangements for project activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Community Development, or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with communities and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of rural development programs, government schemes, and NGO operations is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in program support, community development, or a related NGO sector.
- Experience working in rural or semi-urban communities is highly desirable.
- Exposure to project documentation, monitoring, and reporting processes.
Working Hours
- Full-time position.
- Flexible schedule with occasional field visits and weekend work as required by program activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of social and economic challenges in rural communities.
- Ability to collect and analyze field data effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in field conditions.
- Capacity to engage and motivate local communities and volunteers.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
