Job Summary

TechPro Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant – Remote US/UK Tax Compliance to join our global finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong expertise in international taxation, particularly US and UK tax regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex tax compliance processes, ensuring regulatory adherence, and providing strategic tax insights to support business growth across multiple markets.

As a Senior Accountant, you will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely tax filings, and continuous improvement of tax processes in a fully remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end US and UK tax compliance, including corporate tax, VAT, sales tax, and payroll-related taxes.
• Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and international tax returns in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
• Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in US and UK tax laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities, recommending strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
• Implement and improve internal controls related to tax and financial reporting.
• Assist in transfer pricing documentation and cross-border transaction analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax regulations and UK tax frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in accounting or taxation, with at least 3 years focused on US/UK tax compliance.
• Prior experience working in a multinational or remote-first organization is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position.
• Flexible working hours aligned with US or UK business time zones.
• Expected commitment of 40 hours per week, with occasional flexibility during peak tax seasons.
