Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer with expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture to join our innovative engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.

• Architect and implement Microservices that integrate seamlessly with other internal and external systems.

• Optimize and enhance application performance, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and DevOps teams to define system requirements and solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.

• Implement RESTful APIs and ensure smooth communication between services.

• Manage data storage solutions such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend performance issues and production incidents.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ with a deep understanding of OOP principles.

• Advanced experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security, and Spring Data.

• Hands-on expertise in Microservices architecture and API gateway integration.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, JSON, and asynchronous communication patterns.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.

• Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Strong database management skills (SQL and NoSQL).

• Knowledge of message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable backend systems.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small backend teams is an advantage.

Working Hours
