Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior UX Researcher – GovTech Accessibility Focus to lead user research initiatives for government and public sector digital platforms. This role is ideal for a research professional who is deeply committed to inclusive design and has a strong interest in improving digital services for diverse user groups, including people with disabilities, elderly users, and underserved communities.

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a strategic role in shaping user-centered policies, services, and platforms that meet accessibility standards and real-world user needs. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and public sector stakeholders to ensure that research insights drive impactful, equitable, and compliant digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX research activities including discovery, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, and accessibility audits.

  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design across all digital products and services.

  • Translate complex user insights into actionable recommendations for product and design teams.

  • Develop research frameworks and best practices tailored to GovTech and public sector projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed user research into the product lifecycle.

  • Ensure compliance with global accessibility standards such as WCAG, ADA, and Section 508.

  • Present research findings to senior stakeholders and government partners.

  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to building a strong UX research culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Design, or a related field.

  • Strong expertise in UX research methodologies and tools.

  • Proven experience in accessibility research and inclusive design.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency with usability testing tools and research platforms.

  • Ability to translate research data into strategic business and design decisions.

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of professional UX research experience, preferably within digital products or services.

  • At least 3 years in a senior or lead UX research role.

  • Prior experience in GovTech, public sector, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise platforms is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience working with accessibility standards and diverse user populations.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible depending on project needs).

  • Remote or hybrid work options may be available depending on location and project requirements.

  • In-depth knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG, ARIA, ADA, Section 508).

  • Strong understanding of human-centered design principles.

  • Ability to design research strategies aligned with business and public service goals.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • High level of empathy and user advocacy mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
