Job Summary
MediQuest Global Services is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized U.S. Medical Billing Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete billing cycle for U.S.-based healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of claims. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of U.S. medical billing practices, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance providers accurately and efficiently.

Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely reimbursement.

Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage prior to services.

Maintain accurate patient records, billing reports, and financial documentation.

Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries.

Monitor accounts receivable, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare monthly reports.

Stay updated on changes to U.S. billing regulations, coding standards, and insurance policies.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other federal, state, and organizational policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of U.S. medical billing, coding, and reimbursement procedures (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).

Proficiency in medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies independently.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in U.S. medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management.

Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is preferred.

Previous experience with insurance claim denials, appeals, and reconciliations is a plus.
Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard U.S. Eastern Time (EST) working hours, with flexibility for occasional early or late shifts to accommodate clients.
