Job Summary

MediQuest Global Services is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized U.S. Medical Billing Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete billing cycle for U.S.-based healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of claims. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of U.S. medical billing practices, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance providers accurately and efficiently.

• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely reimbursement.

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage prior to services.

• Maintain accurate patient records, billing reports, and financial documentation.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries.

• Monitor accounts receivable, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare monthly reports.

• Stay updated on changes to U.S. billing regulations, coding standards, and insurance policies.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other federal, state, and organizational policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. medical billing, coding, and reimbursement procedures (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).

• Proficiency in medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies independently.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in U.S. medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management.

• Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is preferred.

• Previous experience with insurance claim denials, appeals, and reconciliations is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote position.

• Standard U.S. Eastern Time (EST) working hours, with flexibility for occasional early or late shifts to accommodate clients.

• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote setting.
