Job Summary
Fresher Job is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant / Senior Bookkeeper to support our dynamic AU-based bookkeeping firm. This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from home while playing a crucial role in managing financial records, maintaining client accounts, and ensuring accurate reporting. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly reliable, and has strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping standards and software.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with Australian accounting regulations.

Prepare and review BAS statements, GST reporting, and payroll processing.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Communicate with clients to resolve queries, gather necessary documentation, and provide updates on financial status.

Support the management team with ad-hoc administrative tasks and bookkeeping projects.

Maintain confidentiality of all client and company financial information.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Virtual Assistant, or in a similar financial administrative role.

Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or equivalent.

Knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation, GST, and payroll procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably within Australian businesses or clients.

Experience working remotely or in a virtual support capacity is highly advantageous.
