Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our high-volume distribution center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that warehouse activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies. This role involves managing a large team, optimizing logistics processes, and driving continuous improvement to support Amazon’s commitment to fast, accurate, and reliable order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in warehouse or supply chain management, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise warehouse associates, ensuring performance targets and safety standards are met.

  • Monitor workflow, analyze performance metrics, and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and efficiency.

  • Coordinate with logistics, transportation, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures aligned with Amazon’s global standards.

  • Manage staffing levels, shift schedules, and labor allocation to support peak operational demands.

  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and accuracy in inventory management.

  • Collaborate with senior management to plan capacity, manage costs, and forecast future warehouse needs.

  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication, recognition, and professional development initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management (preferably in a large-scale or automated facility).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Sound understanding of safety regulations and operational compliance standards.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in warehouse or distribution management.

  • Prior experience managing large teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Experience working with automated systems, robotics, or advanced logistics technologies will be a strong advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, onsite position.

  • Typical schedule: 8–10 hours per day, including weekends or shifts as required during peak operations.

  • Flexibility in working hours is expected to meet operational demands.
