Job Summary

Trusting Hands Nannies is seeking a compassionate and reliable Weekend Childcare Provider to care for infants and toddlers in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to promoting a child’s emotional, social, and physical development while providing a fun, educational, and structured experience. This position offers flexible weekend hours, allowing caregivers to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while supporting families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of infants and toddlers at all times.

• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including play, storytelling, arts, and learning exercises.

• Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting routines for infants and toddlers.

• Monitor children’s behavior, providing gentle guidance and promoting positive social interactions.

• Communicate effectively with parents about daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for children.

• Follow all Trusting Hands Nannies policies and procedures regarding childcare and safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or home setting.

• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.

• Strong communication skills with both children and parents.

• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.

• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).

• Trustworthy, reliable, and able to pass background checks.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in childcare, nannying, or early childhood education preferred.

• Experience with multiple children and infants/toddlers is highly valued.

Working Hours

• Weekend shifts: Saturdays and Sundays.

• Flexible scheduling available, with potential for additional hours based on family needs.

• Shift duration: Typically 4–8 hours per day.

• Deep understanding of child safety protocols and emergency procedures.

• Ability to plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate activities.
