Job Summary

BrightStart Family Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Weekend Nanny to provide exceptional care for two children. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while supporting the children’s daily routines, activities, and development. This role requires a flexible, patient, and proactive individual who can engage children with creative activities while ensuring their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.

• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games.

• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and snack times.

• Support children with homework, reading, and learning activities.

• Maintain daily routines including nap times, hygiene, and bedtime as required.

• Light housekeeping related to children (e.g., cleaning up after meals and play).

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s activities, behavior, and needs.

• Respond calmly and appropriately in case of emergencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education certification is a plus.

• Proven experience in childcare or nannying, preferably with multiple children.

• Strong understanding of child development principles.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to plan and organize activities that are fun, educational, and safe.

• CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience, preferably in a home or daycare environment.

• Experience with children aged 2–10 years is highly preferred.

Working Hours

• Weekends: Saturday and Sunday

• Flexible timing, approximately 8–10 hours per day, depending on family needs.
