Job Summary

OceanGlide Cruises is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cabin Crew English Language Instructor to join our Cruise Line Preparation Training division. This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about education, communication, and hospitality training. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to aspiring cruise line staff, helping them develop the communication skills, confidence, and professional vocabulary needed to succeed in international maritime environments.

This position plays a critical role in preparing trainees for real-world guest interactions, onboard safety communication, team collaboration, and service excellence within the cruise industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver structured English language training programs tailored for cruise line cabin crew candidates.
  • Teach spoken English, listening comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and workplace communication.
  • Conduct specialized training sessions focused on hospitality communication, guest relations, emergency communication, and intercultural interaction.
  • Assess trainees’ language proficiency through tests, presentations, roleplays, and practical evaluations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and personalized coaching to improve trainee performance.
  • Develop training materials, lesson plans, worksheets, and language exercises aligned with cruise industry standards.
  • Conduct mock interview preparation sessions and onboard communication simulations.
  • Monitor student attendance, participation, progress, and certification readiness.
  • Collaborate with training managers and recruitment teams to align training objectives with employer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of trainee development and program outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
  • TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent teaching certification is preferred.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong presentation, mentoring, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of hospitality terminology and international customer service standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of teaching or training experience in English language instruction, communication training, or hospitality education.
  • Previous experience in airline, cruise line, hotel training, or customer service training is highly desirable.
  • Experience preparing candidates for interviews, workplace communication, or international employment environments is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
  • 5–6 working days per week.
  • Flexible shifts depending on training batches and operational schedules.
  • Weekend sessions may be required during peak training periods.

  • Deep understanding of adult learning methodologies and classroom engagement techniques.
  • Ability to identify language gaps and create customized improvement plans.
