Job Summary
OceanGlide Cruises is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Cabin Steward to join our onboard hospitality team. The Cabin Steward plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest cabins, suites, corridors, and designated service areas throughout the voyage. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
As a Cabin Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring that all guest accommodations meet the company’s premium cleanliness and service standards. You will interact with guests regularly, respond to housekeeping requests, and contribute to creating a welcoming and memorable onboard environment.
Key Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned guest cabins, suites, bathrooms, balconies, and corridor areas according to company standards.

Perform daily housekeeping services including bed making, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom sanitization, towel replacement, and replenishment of amenities.

Provide evening turn-down service to guests with professionalism and consistency.

Monitor cabin inventory including linens, towels, toiletries, and housekeeping supplies.

Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged items, or guest concerns to supervisors promptly.

Ensure all housekeeping equipment and cleaning materials are used safely and stored properly.

Deliver personalized service by responding promptly to guest requests and special preferences.

Maintain accurate records of serviced cabins, supply usage, and guest requests.

Follow company hygiene, sanitation, environmental, and safety regulations at all times.

Support other housekeeping team members during busy operational periods.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.

Certificate or training in housekeeping, hospitality, or hotel operations is an advantage.

Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and guest service practices.

Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are considered a plus.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while maintaining team coordination.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Physical fitness to perform demanding housekeeping duties.
Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, cruise hospitality, or related guest service environments preferred.

Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or cruise ship accommodations is highly desirable.

Previous international hospitality experience is considered an advantage.
Working Hours

Contract-based onboard employment, typically 6–9 months per assignment.

Work schedules may range from 8–11 hours per day, depending on guest occupancy and operational requirements.

Flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

One day off may be scheduled according to operational planning and voyage schedules.
