Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking an experienced and strategic Fractional HR Director to support high-growth startups and scaling organizations across multiple industries. This fully remote leadership opportunity is designed for a senior HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for building people strategies that drive business performance.

The Fractional HR Director will act as a trusted advisor to founders, executive leadership teams, and department heads, providing expert guidance in organizational development, talent strategy, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, and culture transformation. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and can confidently support companies through rapid growth, change management, and workforce expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to startup founders, CEOs, and executive leadership teams.
  • Design and implement scalable HR frameworks, policies, and people operations systems.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives aligned with organizational growth goals.
  • Develop and optimize recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning strategies.
  • Build performance management systems, compensation frameworks, and employee development programs.
  • Advise leadership on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
  • Ensure HR compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Create diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging strategies that strengthen company culture.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to provide strategic business recommendations.
  • Mentor internal HR teams, managers, and department leaders on people management best practices.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams on headcount planning and organizational budgeting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent preferred.
  • Deep understanding of startup ecosystems, scaling businesses, and venture-backed organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation strategy, organizational design, and talent management.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence executive decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience working with global and distributed teams.

Experience

  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • At least 5 years in senior HR leadership roles such as HR Director, VP of People, or Chief People Officer.
  • Demonstrated success working with startups, technology companies, or high-growth organizations.
  • Experience supporting remote-first teams and international workforce operations is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of building HR functions from the ground up.

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position.
  • Flexible scheduling based on client and business requirements.
  • Expected availability: 20–30 hours per week depending on project scope.
  • May require occasional overlap with international time zones.
  • Some weekend or urgent leadership consultations may be required during critical business phases.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategy with business goals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters professionally.
  • Skilled in leadership coaching and executive advisory services.

  • Experience with modern HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and workforce analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
