Job Summary

The Galley Utility / Potwasher plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the ship’s kitchen (galley). This position supports the culinary team by ensuring all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in compliance with maritime safety and food hygiene regulations. The role is essential to the smooth and efficient operation of onboard food preparation services in a fast-paced cruise ship environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of all galley workstations, floors, and storage areas
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
• Dispose of waste and manage segregation of garbage according to ship protocols
• Ensure dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment are properly maintained
• Follow strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
