Job Summary
Comcast is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing critical IT infrastructure within our data center environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in servers, networking, storage systems, and virtualization technologies, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise systems. This is an onsite role requiring hands-on involvement in data center operations and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage data center infrastructure including servers, storage, and networking equipment.

Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patch management across infrastructure components.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.

Implement and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are in place and regularly tested.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure needs.

Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Enforce security best practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and compliance standards.

Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure scaling initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage systems.

Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux and Windows Server.

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA, or VMware certifications are advantageous.
Experience

Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in IT infrastructure or data center operations.

Proven hands-on experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure environments.

Experience working in a 24/7 mission-critical environment is preferred.
Working Hours

Full-time onsite role based in the data center facility.

May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations to support 24/7 operations.
