Job Summary
The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Seed Science will support advanced research activities focused on seed technology, quality enhancement, and sustainable agricultural practices. The role involves active participation in research projects, laboratory experimentation, field trials, and data analysis under the guidance of senior scientists. Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and execution of research experiments related to seed science and technology

Conduct laboratory tests including seed viability, germination, and vigor assessments

Participate in field trials, data collection, and monitoring of crop performance

Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and research findings

Analyze experimental data using statistical tools and prepare reports

Support documentation for publications, reports, and project proposals

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and research standards

Collaborate with research teams and contribute to ongoing institutional projects
Required Skills and Qualifications

Masterโs degree in Seed Science, Agriculture, Plant Science, Botany, or related field

Strong understanding of seed physiology, production, and testing methods

Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and research methodologies

Proficiency in MS Office and scientific data handling tools

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a research team
Experience

Freshers with relevant postgraduate qualifications are encouraged to apply

Prior research or internship experience in seed science or agriculture will be an added advantage

Experience in laboratory and fieldwork is desirable
Working Hours

Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
