Job Summary
OceanGlide Cruises is seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Maritime Training Centre Assistant to support our Cruise Readiness Programs. This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about training, maritime hospitality, and crew development.
The successful candidate will assist in preparing new crew members for life and work onboard our international cruise fleet by supporting training sessions, maintaining program records, coordinating schedules, and ensuring training resources are properly managed. This position plays an important role in helping candidates transition successfully into maritime careers while maintaining OceanGlide’s operational excellence standards.
The ideal applicant is proactive, adaptable, and capable of working in a dynamic training environment involving multiple departments and international crew members.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating daily maritime training schedules and classroom activities.

Support onboarding orientation programs for newly recruited cruise ship staff.

Prepare training materials, attendance sheets, manuals, safety guides, and digital learning resources.

Maintain accurate trainee records, certifications, compliance documents, and performance evaluations.

Coordinate with instructors, recruitment teams, and operations managers regarding training requirements.

Help organize safety drills, emergency response simulations, hospitality workshops, and department-specific training sessions.

Ensure training facilities, equipment, and learning materials are prepared before each session.

Track trainee attendance and report progress to training supervisors.

Assist candidates with administrative questions regarding contracts, travel preparation, and onboarding procedures.

Support quality improvement initiatives by collecting trainee feedback and preparing reports.

Ensure compliance with maritime training standards and company operational procedures.

Provide general administrative support to the Training & Development department.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or a related field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multicultural teams.

Basic knowledge of training coordination or learning management systems is preferred.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee records professionally.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience
-
0–3 years of experience in training coordination, HR support, hospitality operations, education administration, or maritime support roles.

Fresh graduates with strong organizational skills and relevant internships are encouraged to apply.

Experience in cruise, shipping, hospitality, aviation, or international workforce operations will be considered an advantage.
Working Hours

Full-Time Position
-
8 to 10 hours per day depending on training schedules.

5 to 6 working days per week.

Flexibility to support weekend sessions, orientation programs, or special crew training events when required.
