Job Summary
FLVS (Florida Virtual School) is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Online Science Instructor to deliver engaging, high-quality virtual instruction to high school students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a dynamic online learning environment, supporting student success, and ensuring academic excellence in science education. This role requires a tech-savvy educator who can adapt to digital teaching tools while maintaining strong student engagement and performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver interactive and curriculum-aligned online science lessons to high school students.

Facilitate both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) learning sessions.

Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.

Customize teaching approaches to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.

Communicate regularly with students, parents, and academic staff to support student success.

Develop and update course materials in alignment with educational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Valid teaching certification/licensure in secondary education (Science subject preferred).

Strong understanding of high school science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Science).

Experience

Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.

Working Hours
