Trivandrum International School is seeking a passionate, creative, and student-focused Part-Time Sunday-Only Art & Fine Arts Teacher to inspire learners through visual arts, creative expression, and artistic exploration. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging art sessions that encourage imagination, technical skill development, and appreciation for diverse artistic traditions.
This role is ideal for an educator or practicing artist who enjoys mentoring young learners and creating an interactive studio-style learning environment. The teacher will help students discover their artistic potential while building confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging Sunday art classes for students across assigned age groups.
Teach drawing, painting, sketching, mixed media, sculpture, and other fine arts techniques.
Introduce students to art history, global art movements, and notable artistic styles.
Design lesson plans that align with the school’s creative learning philosophy.
Encourage experimentation, originality, and artistic confidence in students.
Organize art exhibitions, student showcases, and portfolio presentations.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain classroom materials, art supplies, and studio organization.
Support interdisciplinary projects involving art integration with other subjects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Applied Arts, Art Education, or a related discipline.
Teaching certification or educational qualification is preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of multiple art forms and techniques.
Excellent communication and classroom engagement skills.
Ability to motivate students from diverse learning backgrounds.
Strong organizational and lesson-planning abilities.
Proficiency in both traditional and modern art teaching approaches.
Experience
Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in art, fine arts, or creative education.
Experience in international schools, creative academies, or art studios will be an advantage.
Experience working with children and adolescents is highly preferred.

Part-Time Position
Sunday Only
Working schedule: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (may vary based on school events and workshops).
Additional participation may be required during exhibitions, competitions, or annual creative events.
