Job Summary

Blackboard is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Remote E-Learning Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative digital learning initiatives. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in project management and a passion for educational technology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including instructional designers, developers, educators, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee end-to-end e-learning project lifecycles from initiation to delivery.
  • Coordinate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and technical teams to develop high-quality digital learning solutions.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and e-learning best practices.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders regularly.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes and implementing lessons learned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing e-learning or digital education projects.
  • Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design principles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project management, preferably in e-learning or EdTech.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and remote collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position with flexible working hours.
  • Availability to collaborate across different time zones as required.
  • Standard workweek with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
