Job Summary
Connections Academy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Special Education Case Manager to support students with diverse learning needs in a virtual education environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with special education regulations, managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with educators, families, and service providers to deliver high-quality educational support. The ideal candidate is passionate about student success, highly organized, and experienced in remote case management.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs for assigned students

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations

Coordinate and lead virtual IEP meetings with parents, teachers, and related service providers

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and case records

Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies

Monitor student performance and recommend appropriate interventions and supports

Serve as the primary point of contact for families regarding special education services

Provide guidance and training to staff on special education policies and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field

Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education

Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a remote environment

Proficiency in using online educational platforms and case management systems

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Experience
-
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in special education case management or a similar role

Prior experience working in virtual or blended learning environments is preferred

Demonstrated experience in coordinating IEP meetings and ensuring compliance
Working Hours

Full-time position

Flexible remote working hours aligned with student and school schedules

Occasional evening hours may be required for parent meetings
