Job Summary
Malathi Silks is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and fashion-oriented Weekend Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for ethnic fashion, enjoy interacting with customers, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Weekend Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store presentation standards, and supporting sales growth during peak business periods.
You will serve as a brand ambassador, helping customers select products that match their style, occasion, and preferences while creating a memorable shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers warmly and provide professional assistance throughout their shopping experience.

Understand customer preferences and recommend suitable ethnic wear collections including sarees, salwar suits, lehengas, kurtis, and festive collections.

Demonstrate product features, fabric details, design elements, and styling suggestions.

Support customers with size selection, product comparisons, and purchase decisions.

Maintain attractive product displays and ensure the store is visually appealing at all times.

Replenish stock on shelves and arrange merchandise according to company standards.

Handle billing support, packaging, and basic cash or digital payment transactions when required.

Manage customer queries, feedback, and concerns professionally.

Assist during promotional campaigns, festive sales, and special store events.

Coordinate with team members to achieve daily and weekend sales targets.

Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of the sales floor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma, undergraduate degree, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is an advantage.

Experience

Freshers with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for retail are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

Part-time weekend position (Saturday and Sunday).
