Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, providing the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, including AWS and Azure, to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that drive innovation and efficiency for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS and/or Azure services.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize cloud-native applications and ensure high availability and performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud environment issues to maintain system health and reliability.
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure management using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Conduct cost analysis and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Implement and maintain robust security controls to protect cloud environments and data.
• Document best practices, procedures, and system configurations for the cloud infrastructure.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential for implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Azure, with hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls in cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with cloud security practices, IAM policies, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure services is essential.
• Proven track record of managing cloud infrastructure for mission-critical applications.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours, with the expectation of overlapping at least 4 hours with standard business hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in your time zone).
• Availability to occasionally support critical issues outside standard hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
