Job Summary
Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity & IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This remote role is ideal for tech-savvy professionals with expertise in cybersecurity, IT troubleshooting, and network administration. As part of our cybersecurity and IT support team, you will ensure secure and seamless operations by diagnosing technical issues, implementing security protocols, and providing exceptional technical support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Operations: Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
- System Maintenance: Perform system updates, patch management, and routine security audits.
- Network Security: Implement firewall configurations, intrusion detection, and encryption protocols.
- Incident Response: Investigate and resolve security breaches, minimizing downtime and impact.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain logs, reports, and documentation of security incidents and IT support cases.
- User Training & Support: Educate employees and clients on cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to enhance IT security infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Proficiency in IT support, including Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues remotely.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CCNA are a plus.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in IT support, cybersecurity, or network administration.
- Experience with remote troubleshooting and security incident response.
Working Hours
- Flexible remote work schedule.
- May require availability for occasional after-hours support and on-call rotation.
