Job Description
We are seeking skilled and passionate Indian Cuisine Chefs to join a leading restaurant in Singapore. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in preparing authentic Indian dishes across North Indian, South Indian, or regional specialties. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, rotis, and regional specialties.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene, food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ingredient preparation, and daily mise-en-place.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to plan menus, introduce new dishes, and optimize kitchen workflows.
- Monitor portion control, minimize waste, and manage costs efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Chef or Cook specializing in Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of spices, ingredients, and regional Indian cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Experience operating tandoor ovens and other Indian cooking equipment.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to Singapore (visa sponsorship available for eligible applicants).
- Must pass basic health checks and meet immigration requirements.
- Fluency in Hindi or English is preferred for kitchen coordination.
