Job Summary


Build‑A‑Bear Workshop is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Store Assistant Team Members to join our friendly and vibrant team. In this role, you will play an essential part in creating memorable experiences for our guests by assisting them in making personalized stuffed animals. You will help deliver our brand promise of fun, creativity, and exceptional customer service while supporting store operations, visual presentation, and sales goals.




Key Responsibilities



  • Greet and engage guests warmly, creating a fun and inviting shopping experience.

  • Assist customers in creating and personalizing their unique Build‑A‑Bear products.

  • Support daily store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness.

  • Assist in processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately.

  • Meet individual and store sales goals by delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Participate in special promotions, events, and seasonal activities to enhance guest experiences.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store functioning and high guest satisfaction.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable personality.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Comfortable interacting with children and families in a playful, creative setting.

  • Basic knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling is a plus.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light physical tasks such as stocking or lifting small boxes.




Experience



  • Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Working Hours



  • Flexible part-time and full-time shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
