Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Retail Staff to join our vibrant team. As a team member, you will create memorable experiences for guests by helping them bring their very own furry friends to life. Key Responsibilities



  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a fun and engaging store experience.

  • Assist guests in the Build-A-Bear process, from selecting, stuffing, dressing, and personalizing their bears and other plush friends.

  • Maintain store visual standards, including cleaning, organizing, and restocking merchandise.

  • Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash and card transactions efficiently.

  • Support team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain store performance.

  • Participate in store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance guest engagement.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Ability to provide exceptional guest experiences in a high-energy retail environment.

  • Basic math skills for handling cash and operating POS systems.

  • Team player with the ability to follow directions and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.




Experience



  • Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

  • Entry-level candidates with a passion for customer interaction and teamwork are encouraged to apply.




Working Hours



  • Part-time role with flexible scheduling.

  • Typical shifts range from 4–6 hours, including weekends and peak holiday seasons.
