Job Summary


Trusting Hands Nannies is seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Weekend Childcare Provider to care for infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development, the ability to handle young children with patience and attentiveness, and a commitment to providing a secure and loving atmosphere for our client families. This role is perfect for childcare professionals who enjoy working weekends and making a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and their families.




Key Responsibilities



  • Provide attentive and loving care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.

  • Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to encourage development.

  • Prepare and feed meals and bottles according to dietary and parental instructions.

  • Change diapers, assist with potty training (if needed), and maintain proper hygiene routines.

  • Monitor children for any health or behavioral concerns and report observations to parents.

  • Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures as outlined by the family and Trusting Hands Nannies.

  • Communicate effectively with parents to provide daily updates on the child’s activities, meals, and overall well-being.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent (Early Childhood Education certification is a plus).

  • Proven experience in caring for infants and toddlers in a professional or personal setting.

  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

  • Strong understanding of child safety, hygiene, and developmental milestones.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and responsibly.




Experience



  • Minimum 1–2 years of professional childcare experience preferred.

  • Experience working with infants and toddlers is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Part-time, weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday)

  • Flexible hours depending on family needs, typically 6–10 hours per day




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of infant and toddler developmental stages.

  • Ability to plan engaging and safe activities for young children.

  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying infants or toddlers as needed.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a childcare setting.
