Job Summary
Accenture India is looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer Trainees to join our dynamic technology team. As an Application Support Engineer Trainee, you will play a vital role in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting business-critical applications. This entry-level role is designed for graduates who are eager to build their careers in IT application support, gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems, and work in a collaborative environment that fosters continuous learning and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor application performance, identify potential issues, and take corrective actions under supervision.
- Provide first-level support to resolve application-related incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot software issues and ensure minimal downtime.
- Escalate unresolved technical problems to relevant support teams and track progress until closure.
- Assist in performing routine system health checks, upgrades, and application maintenance tasks.
- Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures to support knowledge sharing.
- Participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions to improve technical capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of application support concepts, software troubleshooting, and IT operations.
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and basic database knowledge (SQL preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with teams and end-users.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, processes, and technologies.
Experience
- Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of experience in application support or IT helpdesk roles are welcome to apply.
Working Hours
- Full-time role with rotational shifts, including weekend or night shift support as per project requirements.
- Flexibility to work in a 24x7 support environment may be required based on client needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Fundamental knowledge of ITIL concepts and incident management is an advantage.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) is desirable.
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet SLAs.
- Strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
