Job Summary
Emirates Airlines is seeking friendly, dedicated, and service-driven professionals to join our world-class team as Customer Service Assistants in our Ticketing Offices. As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service, assisting with flight bookings, fare queries, itinerary changes, and resolving ticket-related concerns efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with flight bookings, rescheduling, cancellations, and fare inquiries.
- Issue and reissue tickets and handle all types of ticketing transactions using the airline reservation system.
- Provide accurate information on Emirates’ flight schedules, destinations, travel policies, and special services.
- Handle payment processing, refunds, and fare calculations in compliance with Emirates' policies and IATA standards.
- Resolve customer concerns in a professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented manner.
- Maintain records of transactions and ensure proper documentation is filed.
- Liaise with other departments such as airport services, baggage services, and operations for seamless customer handling.
- Stay updated on promotional fares, travel regulations, and ticketing policies.
- Ensure the ticketing office environment is clean, organized, and customer-ready at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Travel, Tourism, or Hospitality is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer systems and ticketing software (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic or another international language is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Customer-first attitude with a pleasant, calm demeanor under pressure.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in airline ticketing, travel agency, or a customer-facing role in the aviation/hospitality industry.
- Prior experience working with GDS systems (preferably Amadeus) is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Full-time role (40–45 hours per week) based on office and customer demand.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of IATA ticketing rules, fare construction, and exchange/refund processes.
- Familiarity with airline industry terms, e-ticketing, and travel documents (visas, passports).
- High level of integrity and commitment to customer confidentiality.
- Ability to handle multiple customer queries efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and training.
