Job Summary
Careem Logistics Pakistan is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant – Parcel Management to support and streamline our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily parcel movement, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining inventory records, and supporting the coordination between drivers, customers, and support teams. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth backend logistics and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction in parcel delivery services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage parcel dispatch and delivery schedules to ensure timely movement.
- Coordinate with delivery captains (riders/drivers) for pickups, routes, and drop-offs.
- Monitor and track parcels using logistics management tools.
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and safe handling of all parcels.
- Maintain inventory control and stock management within the logistics center.
- Assist in resolving delivery-related issues or customer complaints swiftly.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient parcel flow.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports for internal tracking.
- Support route planning and load optimization activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies during operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, and basic inventory tools.
- Familiarity with logistics software or parcel management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, courier, or parcel management.
- Fresh graduates with internship experience in logistics or supply chain may also apply.
Working Hours
- Full-time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak times, weekends, or special projects.
- Rotational shifts may apply depending on operational needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of basic logistics operations and parcel tracking systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain records and schedules.
- Basic data analysis and report generation skills.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and customer-first mindset.
- Good command of English and Urdu (both spoken and written).
