Job Summary


As an App Operations Executive at Careem Pakistan, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Careem app, focusing on real-time monitoring, service excellence, and process optimization. You will be the key link between product teams, customer support, and on-ground operations. Your mission is to deliver operational excellence, enhance user experience, and implement strategies that keep our platform agile, efficient, and reliable.




Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor app performance and operational KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Customer Support, Product, and Engineering to resolve technical or user-related issues.

  • Maintain and update operational dashboards to track demand, driver-partner availability, and app health.

  • Analyze data to forecast trends and recommend process improvements.

  • Execute and manage app-related projects such as feature rollouts, test phases, or incident reports.

  • Support real-time operations by handling emergency escalations, outages, and service disruptions.

  • Communicate updates and insights clearly to leadership and relevant departments.

  • Assist in onboarding new partners or services within the app.

  • Document SOPs, workflows, and best practices to support scalability.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Operations, or related field.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; knowledge of SQL or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage operations under pressure.

  • High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solver.

  • Familiarity with mobile app usage, tech products, or e-commerce platforms.




Experience



  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in operations, app support, business analytics, or a related role.

  • Prior experience in a tech-based or fast-paced startup environment is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to working with ride-hailing or on-demand delivery services is an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position (5 or 6 days a week depending on business needs).

  • Flexible shift hours with occasional weekend or evening work during high-demand periods or emergency escalations.

  • Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team settings.

  • A customer-first mindset with a drive to improve user experience.

  • Familiarity with app performance metrics, operational tools, and automation techniques.

  • Time management and organizational skills are essential.
