Job Summary


OneTech Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Online Community Moderator to oversee and manage online interactions across our community platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for our members. You will monitor user-generated content, enforce community guidelines, respond to inquiries, and escalate issues when necessary. This is a fully remote position that offers flexibility, making it ideal for professionals who thrive in digital spaces and enjoy fostering healthy online communities.




Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor community forums, social media channels, and other digital platforms to ensure compliance with guidelines.

  • Review, approve, or remove user-generated content based on company policies.

  • Respond promptly to user inquiries and provide accurate information or guidance.

  • Address inappropriate behavior and manage conflict resolution in a professional manner.

  • Escalate sensitive or high-risk issues to relevant departments.

  • Provide regular feedback to management on community trends and member engagement.

  • Assist in creating and updating community guidelines and policies.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and welcoming online environment.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong written communication skills in English.

  • Proven ability to remain objective and handle sensitive situations tactfully.

  • Familiarity with online community platforms, forums, and social media tools.

  • Basic knowledge of content moderation practices and digital etiquette.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.




Experience



  • Essential: At least 1 year of experience in customer service, social media management, or online moderation.

  • Preferred: Experience managing large online communities or working with moderation tools.




Working Hours



  • Flexible schedule with options for part-time or full-time hours.

  • Some weekend or evening availability may be required to cover community activity peaks.
