Job Summary


SecureMalls Inc. is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Campus Security Assistant to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring school premises, assisting in daily security operations, responding to incidents, and promoting safety awareness. The ideal candidate will be approachable, observant, and committed to creating a positive environment for learning.



Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, and school grounds to ensure the safety and security of all occupants.

  • Assist in controlling access to the school premises and verifying visitor identification.

  • Patrol assigned areas regularly to prevent unauthorized activities or safety hazards.

  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or safety incidents and follow established procedures.

  • Support emergency drills, including fire, lockdown, and evacuation procedures.

  • Provide assistance to students, staff, and visitors with directions, safety guidance, or incident reporting.

  • Maintain detailed daily security logs and incident reports.

  • Work closely with school administration and local law enforcement when necessary.

  • Uphold school policies and promote a respectful and safe environment.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional security training or certification preferred).

  • Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

  • Basic knowledge of security systems and safety procedures.

  • Physically fit and able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.

  • Must pass background checks and security clearances.



Experience



  • Prior experience in security, campus safety, or related roles is an advantage.

  • Experience working in a school or educational environment is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Fresh candidates with strong dedication to safety will be considered.



Working Hours



  • Full-time or part-time positions available.

  • Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings for special school events.

  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend assignments based on school activities.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of basic safety regulations and emergency response protocols.

  • Ability to engage positively with children and young adults.

  • Awareness of cultural sensitivity and respectful communication.

  • Skilled in incident documentation and record-keeping.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
