Job Summary:


SubTitleX India is looking for talented and detail-oriented Subtitle Translators to join our growing remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating subtitles accurately from Hindi to English and vice versa while maintaining contextual meaning, tone, and cultural nuances. This role is perfect for language enthusiasts who want to work flexibly from home and contribute to high-quality content for movies, web series, and OTT platforms.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Translate subtitles from Hindi to English and English to Hindi while ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural sensitivity.

  • Sync subtitles accurately with the video/audio content to maintain proper timing and flow.

  • Review and proofread translated subtitles for grammar, punctuation, and formatting.

  • Follow company guidelines and style sheets for subtitle formatting and quality standards.

  • Meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality output under tight timelines.

  • Collaborate with quality check teams to resolve any inconsistencies or errors.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Proficiency in Hindi and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure in both languages.

  • Ability to maintain the original tone and context while translating.

  • Good understanding of cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions.

  • Basic technical knowledge of subtitle editing tools (training can be provided).

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.



Experience:



  • Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome.

  • Prior experience in subtitle translation or language services will be an added advantage.
