Job Summary


MapPoint Works is seeking detail-oriented and tech-savvy freelancers to join our remote map tagging team. As a Map Tagging Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately tagging, labeling, and categorizing various map elements to improve location-based services and mapping accuracy. Key Responsibilities



  • Analyze map data and tag geographic elements such as streets, landmarks, businesses, and other points of interest.

  • Accurately classify and verify map features using internal tools and guidelines.

  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, or missing data in maps and report them for correction.

  • Ensure proper categorization for optimal navigation and user experience.

  • Work independently to meet assigned tagging quotas and maintain quality standards.

  • Collaborate with team members through online platforms when necessary.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

  • Good understanding of geography and map reading skills.

  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to work with web-based tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in English (reading and writing).



Experience



  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.

  • Previous experience in data entry, map editing, or tagging will be an added advantage.



Working Hours



  • Flexible schedule – work anytime, anywhere.

  • Minimum availability of 10–15 hours per week is preferred.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Familiarity with Google Maps or other mapping applications.

  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

  • Good internet research skills for verifying location details.

  • Reliable internet connection and a personal computer/laptop.
