Progressive Technology is seeking a highly organized, friendly, and professional Remote Receptionist to join our growing virtual team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients and partners, handling calls, messages, emails, and general inquiries from the comfort of your home. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who excel in communication, multitasking, and delivering exceptional customer service while working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct inbound calls using a cloud-based phone system.
- Greet clients and customers with a positive, professional demeanor via phone, email, or chat.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls as requested.
- Manage voicemails and respond to customer messages promptly.
- Perform light administrative duties including calendar management and data entry.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace.
- Comfortable using remote communication tools like Zoom, Teams, or Slack.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional phone etiquette and a clear speaking voice.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer support role.
- Previous remote work experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Working Hours
- Flexible shifts available between 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday.
- Both full-time and part-time positions are open.
- Occasional weekend support may be requested with advance notice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Quick learner with adaptability to new software and technology platforms.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload without supervision.
