Job Summary:


Progressive Technology is seeking a motivated and experienced IT Support and Troubleshooting Specialist to join our remote team. As an integral member of our IT support department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support, diagnosing issues, and troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software problems for our customers. Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide Remote IT Support: Offer timely and effective remote support to users via phone, email, or chat, resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, software, peripherals, and networking equipment.

  • Customer Assistance: Assist end-users with setup, installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications and IT systems.

  • Incident Management: Track and manage support tickets to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for internal knowledge base and assist with the creation of self-help guides for customers.

  • Maintain System Performance: Monitor IT systems and recommend improvements to optimize system performance and prevent recurring issues.

  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other IT departments and teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.




Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), hardware, software, and networking protocols.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, clear terms to non-technical users.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.

  • Remote Support Tools: Experience with remote troubleshooting software and ticketing systems such as TeamViewer, Remote Desktop, Zendesk, etc.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify root causes of issues and ensure thorough resolution.

  • Customer-Oriented Approach: A focus on providing outstanding customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.




Experience:



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support or IT troubleshooting role.

  • Experience with remote IT support and troubleshooting, ideally within a work-from-home environment.

  • Familiarity with common office software, productivity tools, and basic networking concepts.

  • Previous experience in diagnosing and solving complex IT issues in real-time is highly desirable.




Working Hours:



  • Full-time position, with flexible working hours.

  • Must be available for shift work (including evenings and weekends) to provide global support across different time zones.

  • Remote position with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home.
