Job Summary


Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Financial and Business Analyst to join our dynamic remote team. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to work across various business domains, support financial planning, and deliver actionable insights to improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to interpret financial data and provide business intelligence that supports strategic decision-making.



Key Responsibilities



  • Analyze financial reports and business performance data to identify trends and variances

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting

  • Prepare dashboards and visual presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and/or BI tools

  • Conduct market and competitor research to support strategic planning

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and validate data

  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions

  • Maintain financial databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support to various business units



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, formulas)

  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting



Experience



  • 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, business analytics, or a similar field

  • Internships or academic projects in financial/data analysis will be considered a plus



Working Hours



  • Full-time position (Remote)

  • Flexible schedule within standard business hours (40 hours per week)

  • Occasional virtual meetings may require time zone coordination



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Strong critical thinking and data interpretation skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and business information

  • Quick learner with a passion for financial and operational performance improvement

  • Adaptable to changing business needs and environments
