As a Healthcare Customer Support Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth communication experience for all stakeholders by resolving queries related to appointments, prescriptions, insurance, and patient care information.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient and provider inquiries via phone, chat, or email.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance details, and explaining basic healthcare processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the system and ensure compliance with data privacy and HIPAA guidelines.
- Resolve service issues with empathy and a problem-solving mindset, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as billing, claims, and provider networks to resolve complex cases.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor or department as needed.
- Stay updated with healthcare terminology, insurance protocols, and industry regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic understanding of healthcare terms and customer service etiquette.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic attitude.
- Proficiency in using customer service tools, email, CRM platforms, or ticketing systems.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and handle sensitive patient data confidentially.
Experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience in customer support or healthcare support roles.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a healthcare BPO or hospital front desk role will be an advantage.
Working Hours
- Flexible part-time hours available (minimum 3–5 hours per day).
- Morning, afternoon, or evening shift slots – choose the one that fits your schedule.
- Weekend availability is a plus, but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and insurance claim workflows is a bonus.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to maintain calm and professionalism under pressure.
