Job Summary


Amazon is seeking organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individuals to join our warehouse operations team as Inventory Specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring that all items are properly tracked and accounted for in our fast-paced fulfillment centers. This is a key role that supports Amazon’s core mission: delivering goods to customers quickly, reliably, and efficiently.



Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across various zones in the warehouse

  • Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies

  • Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track item movement

  • Support inbound and outbound operations to ensure timely product availability

  • Investigate inventory variances and resolve root causes in collaboration with operations teams

  • Conduct audits and generate reports to ensure inventory accuracy

  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification provided)

  • Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory workflows



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with handheld devices

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Ability to lift up to 49 lbs, stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours per shift

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Clear communication skills in English (verbal and written)



Experience



  • 1+ year of experience in warehouse, logistics, retail, or inventory control is preferred

  • Prior experience using inventory management systems or ERP software is an asset

  • Entry-level candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are also welcome to apply



Working Hours



  • Flexible shifts available: Day, Night, Weekend, and Overnight

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time roles available

  • Overtime opportunities may be offered during peak seasons

  • Understanding of inventory processes and basic supply chain concepts

  • Capability to work independently and in teams

  • Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining accuracy

  • Familiarity with safety and warehouse compliance standards

  • Willingness to learn new systems and adopt continuous improvement practices
