Job Summary


Progressive Technology is seeking dedicated and skilled Cybersecurity and IT Support Specialists to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our digital assets and ensuring seamless IT operations for our clients. You will handle cybersecurity threats, support end-users with technical issues, and maintain secure and efficient IT infrastructures. Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents to safeguard company systems and data.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues to internal teams and clients remotely.

  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, anti-virus software, and data encryption.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within IT systems.

  • Assist in developing and updating IT policies, procedures, and documentation related to cybersecurity and support services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT infrastructure upgrades and security enhancements.

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on best security practices and IT usage.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity and IT support roles.

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.

  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues remotely.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

  • Knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, vulnerability scanners, and encryption technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.



Experience



  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or IT support roles.

  • Experience working remotely or in a distributed team environment is a strong plus.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are highly desirable.



Working Hours



  • Flexible working hours with core availability during standard business hours (9 AM to 6 PM) based on your time zone.

  • Occasional after-hours support may be required depending on incident urgency.

  • Remote work with no fixed location requirements.
