Job Summary


Amazon is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals for a Cloud AI and Machine Learning Internship as part of our virtual internship program. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced Amazon engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers on real-world projects involving cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and expose interns to scalable technologies used at Amazon to solve cutting-edge problems in e-commerce, cloud infrastructure, and customer intelligence.



Key Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with teams to develop, test, and deploy scalable machine learning models.

  • Analyze large datasets using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools like S3, SageMaker, and EC2.

  • Assist in designing AI-powered solutions for real-time predictions, personalization, and automation.

  • Contribute to research initiatives in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, or Predictive Analytics.

  • Document technical work clearly and communicate findings during team meetings.

  • Implement and validate algorithms and models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineers, scientists, and product managers.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in Python or Java.

  • Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.



Experience



  • No prior industry experience required; however, completion of academic projects or online certifications in ML/AI is a plus.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Git, and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Pandas).



Working Hours



  • Flexible working hours.

  • Approx. 20–30 hours per week depending on your availability and project requirements.

  • Duration: 8 to 12 weeks (with possible extension based on performance).
