Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Coordinator to support healthcare operations remotely. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in medical administration who can manage patient information, coordinate schedules, and assist healthcare teams from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and communication across healthcare teams
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR/EMR) with accuracy and confidentiality
- Handle insurance verifications, authorizations, and claims-related documentation
- Support physicians and clinical staff with scheduling, correspondence, and reports
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone or email in a timely and professional manner
- Track referrals, lab results, and diagnostic reports as required
- Prepare and distribute patient forms, summaries, and care coordination documents
- Assist in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in healthcare administration, medical office management, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in a medical or clinical administrative role
- Strong understanding of healthcare processes, medical terminology, and insurance protocols
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and common office software (MS Office, Google Workspace)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational ability
- Comfortable working independently and remotely across time zones
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements
- Experience with virtual healthcare tools (telehealth platforms, patient portals)
- Prior remote work experience in a medical setting
