Job Summary


MNC JOBS INDIA is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Coding Executive to join our Healthcare BPO team in Delhi. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning accurate medical codes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about healthcare operations, possess strong analytical skills, and want to grow in the medical coding industry.



Key Responsibilities



  • Review and analyze patient medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.

  • Ensure compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines and hospital standards.

  • Verify coded data to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement processes for insurance claims.

  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify coding queries.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient information and coding activities.

  • Monitor and stay updated with changes in coding regulations and payer requirements.

  • Participate in internal audits and quality checks to ensure compliance and minimize claim denials.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field.

  • Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office tools and medical coding software.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.



Experience



  • Freshers with medical coding certifications are welcome.

  • 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare BPO or hospital coding department is preferred.



Working Hours



  • Full-time, 5 days a week.

  • Flexible shifts available (Day/Night shifts as per project requirement).

  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

  • Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
