Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursing and medical staff in providing basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team promptly.
- Help patients with daily living activities such as toileting, grooming, and ambulation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within patient rooms and common areas.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures under supervision.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and promote a positive environment.
- Assist in handling medical equipment and ensuring proper storage and sanitation.
- Document care activities and observations accurately in patient records.
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere strictly to hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve patient care standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Secondary School Certificate or equivalent; relevant healthcare certification is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of nursing care and patient handling techniques.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude towards patients.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
Experience
- Prior experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Nursing Aide, or in a similar healthcare support role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Freshers with a passion for healthcare and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
- Experience working in hospital or clinical environments is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time and part-time shifts available, including day, evening, and night shifts.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as per hospital requirements.
- Shift durations typically range from 6 to 12 hours depending on the assignment.

- Understanding of basic patient care and safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
